HOW IT WORKS |
|||||||||||||
![]() Using one of the simplest ranking systems ever used for competitive play. Called the "Ladder" because each player has a unique rank or "rung" that represents their standing among other players. The highest ranked player holds the #1 position. Someone ranked #2 is ranked below the #1 player. So, the goal is to "climb" the Ladder all the way to the top. When you first join you are placed in the "Unranked" category of the Ladder. You become "Ranked" after winning your first Ladder match. (Unranked users can play each other and the winner becomes ranked at the bottom of the ladder.) When you defeat a higher ranked player you move up half the distance between their rank and your own. Your rank on the Ladder does not go down if you lose a match unless your opponent is ranked DIRECTLY below you. When other players beat people above you and jump over you in rank you will slide down. A time frame will be set for all games are to be completed in the 1st round once we have all the players – Maybe to be finished by the New Year, again it will depend on how many players and how quick the games are played Once the first round had been completed players will only be able to challenge other players of a higher ranking, but not more than 5 players a head. |

Score
sheets: Once a game has been competed the winner is to email me the
results as soon as possible and I will do a spread sheet to keep
track of who has play who etc. enter as many details as possible,
and I will endeavour to get some sort of statistic from themAs I will have all your emails, and you all will be so good at sending me the scores sheets, I will be able to send out updates on regular bases. – may even do a web link, if some one can show me how. I will draw up the 1st round draw randomly, contact each set of 2 players and they will then contact each other to arrange the date/time/bar to meet and play. Each player must play at least one challenge each week ( Friday to Thursday) – if you play against another Singles Challenge (SC) player in the usual weekly darts League game or in the monthly knock out, then that game can count – if you both advise me what the scores are. But that will not count as your played weekly game. (You will still need to play another game, against anther player) If for some strange reason a player can not make the scheduled match, It is the absent players responsibility to notify their opponent AND reschedule the match as is convenient for both players. If for another Strange, only in Bangkok , reason a player fails to turn up for more than 2 different schedule games then he/she will be banished from the SC Tournament. Without everyone sending in their results promptly it will not be possible to keep the information/statistics current. If a player is dropped from the singles, all stats and results from any fixture including dropped players are void! Understand it is done in fairness. Each of you will have the results of as many fixtures of the players that finish the season. - - Gayle |
